Bombers and suede are a few of my favorite trends this fall. Although it's not quiet "fall" yet here in AZ, I like to pretend it is. It's my favorite season, when the air is crisp and the leaves start to change. It's perfect here. These pieces are amazing for the transition from summer to fall.
This outfit from Lizard Thicket Boutique in Mesa is a PERFECT transition piece and pairs my favorite combo of the bomber and suede skirt together. This bomber jacket is the comfiest and will be perfect for the AZ winters as well. And who doesn't love a great black mini skirt that you can pair with anything? I paired these items with an awesome Lizard Thicket tee and choker, which is also another 90's trend I'm LOVING!!! Go visit their shop before they sell out!

A little bit about what has been going on lately...
as for my health, it remains stable. I hit my two year transplant birthday, meaning that it's been two years since I received my life saving cells from my donor. It is a crazy thing to think about. It seems like just yesterday, but at the same time it seems like a whole lifetime ago. I still struggle every day and wish things were different, but I realize how blessed I am to even be alive and to have gone through the experiences I have and to have met some of the amazing people along the way that I have. I am truly blessed.
A couple of those people that have been a blessing a long the way are Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood along with their manager Jason. It's one of those things where I never expected something like this to happen and it just happened, and it was just meant to happen. They have been angels in our (my family's) life, and I couldn't be more thankful. They have given us experiences we will never forget and are the most kind hearted, genuine people. It's amazing to see, not very many "stars" are like that these days.
They made it possible for our family to enjoy a weekend in Anaheim this weekend and go to his concert again and meet up with them. They made us feel like the "stars"! We had a great time, we did miss Hattie though! THANK YOU, Garth, Trisha, Jason, Ben, and team for an incredible weekend!! We love you guys!!!!
Don't forget that September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. There are so many children and families suffering from this awful disease, and less than 4% of federal funding goes towards these kids. They are worth so much more. There is so much you can do to help...so #gogold this month and spread awareness!!

A little update on the past few months...
Regarding my health, things continue to stay the same. Unfortunately no improvement, but no worsening either. I will just continue on with my treatments as I have been. IVIG, ECP, phlebotomy, lots of appointments, and so on. And I will fight...
We also lost a few very close friends this past month, and it's been very hard. Please pray these families will find strength and peace. We love them dearly.
Sending kisses up to heaven Katelyn, Avery and Zach!
We have been able to go on a couple trips out of town which has been nice to just get away. We went to Cali, Indiana, and Vegas--All for my siblings sports' tournaments. I had never been to Indiana, and I fell IN LOVE with the gorgeous scenery, the fireflies and the quaint, small town houses. It was just beautiful. I hope you all are doing well and had a wonderful Fourth.
XOXO
Being 18 and having gone through a bone marrow transplant (sick since I was about 12), I have missed A LOT of school. I have constantly been asked, "so, what are you doing for school, what are your plans for the future, do you plan on going to college, do you home school, etc....". Those questions are always hard for me. Mainly because, honestly I loved school and had dreams of becoming a college gymnast. And that was taken away from me. I usually respond..." I'm going through the school of life!" And it couldn't be more true.
For a while I had gone to a couple of classes at Higley High my sophomore year, and did a couple of online classes. It was hard for me to keep up. Then the year of my transplant came, my Junior year, and I wasn't able to be at school at all. I was so so sick and I wasn't even able to keep up with my online studies and we figured my health was WAY more important than my schooling at the time. Little did we know I'd be in the hospital for 10 months and fighting for my life, literally. So, where does that leave me now? What would be my senior year...?
I am currently working towards my GED. And I am proud of myself. It's definitely not where I thought I would be at OR what I thought I would be working towards. But, It's what is working for me. It is really bittersweet to see all my friends getting closer to graduation and getting ready to receive their diplomas, because that was always my goal. That's every one's expectation I think. But I'm excited for them, and I'm excited for me. We all have different paths, and this is mine. Where all going through the school of life.
These pictures were taken by the AMAZING and talented Leavitt Wells. She's the coolest person ever and takes the raddest pics ever!! So hit her up for your photography needs: Seniors, family, concerts, etc..
